DIY Project:

Gift Bow, make your own!

Step by step tutorial, make a bow out of whatever you can think of! (magazines, maps, newspaper...)

Step 1: Choose your material and start with a piece about 7" x 10.5"

Cut nine strips lengthwise that are about 3/4" wide.

Step 2: Take three of the strips, cut off one inch.
Take two more strips and cut two inches off.
Take one strip and cut it down to 3.5" long.
Now you should have 3 full length strips, 3 medium strips, 2 short strips, and 1 really short strip.

Step 3: Tape the really short strip into a loop.

Step 4:  With the rest of the strips, twist the strip twice then tape it into a loop.
They should be in a funny shape like this. Keep the different sizes sorted.

Step 5:  Form the longest three loops into shape, then layer them and staple in place.

Step 6: Do the same thing with the next longest loops, then staple the bunch of shorter loops on top of the bunch of longer loops.

Step 7: Staple the two small loops together the same way, then tape the single little loop on top.

Step 8: Tape both bow pieces together.
 To make your bow!
